Jatinegara Station.

I took the Jakarta KRL commuter train to the Jatinegara station and began exploring on foot. I found a large gem market, with many workers skilled in gem cutting.

I also discovered the fun transportation called Odong Odong, which is like a fun trolly system that goes around the neighborhood.

I boarded the Odong Odong, which was a great way to see the area. We drove through small alleyways and even a graveyard. We drove through areas that were definitely affected by the Jakarta floods.

All of a sudden, my Odong Odong passed an open air small barbershop stall. I immediately stopped my little train/trolly Odong Odong transport, paid, and went to see this little barbershop gem.

The barbershop chair faces inside to the wall, the backside is open air to the street.

My street barber's name is Samsudin. I asked him for a straight razor shave. The whole neighborhood seemed to have came out to watch me get shaved. The people here are amazingly kind. I love them all.
