Walking the world heritage city of Melaka, I found an old shophouse, just nearby the river, not far from Jonker street. Inside is a sweet lady and a wall full of alcohol bottles.
I decided to sit down and learn about the local Malaysia alcohol, and the bar.
Sin Hiap Hin, has been open for over 100 years, family run for four generations. The shopkeeper and bartender, Doris, a grandmother, serves up the alcohol from 9am to 6pm. You can buy half shots, full shots, or the whole bottle.
The prices are reasonable.
