Street Barber? How about a haircut on the farm by the rice fields and the buffalo?

Mr. Wang, 70 years old, has been a barber for over 50 years. He does barbering on the side, since he is also a farmer. This farmer grows rice, and raises chickens & buffalos.

He also sells his chicken eggs to the neighbors for extra cash.

I am deep in the Thai countryside, in the Northeast of Thailand, in the province of Ubon Ratchathani.

His main clientele are the students in the area, since he only charges them 20 Thai Baht ($.65 USD) a haircut. Adults are charged 50 Baht. Shaves are typically included in the price for adults, if they want it.

I was also granted access to tour the house and farm. You even get to see the upstairs living quarters on a Thai Issan farm.

Noochi enjoyed showing us how she used to climb trees in the countryside. I was able to eat a eaw cashew fruit. It was so juicy and tasted like a juicy peach. The farmer's wife said only thr buffalos eat that. She said she would never eat it.
